I've always thought of myself as an anthropological photographer because I am interested in people and culture.
It has been my good fortune to work with a few great photographers,
including Raghu Rai and Jitendra Arya of India and Craig Aurness of Los Angeles.
I have been affiliated with the Visual Communications Program at Ivy Tech Community College, Columbus, Indiana, since 1976, serving as Program Chair and ending my career as Dean of the School of Fine Arts & Design. It was also my good fortune to work with an excellent group of faculty and professionals as we built a noteworthy program and institution.
Busy visiting art departments around the country for many years as a site visitor, representing the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD), now retired.
Education: BFA San Francisco Art Institute, MFA Indiana University
